![]() ![]() In essence gatekeeping ops in tier VII and VIII ships, and encouraging people in tier VI ships to learn the ops in order to progress into the alternative pool of people. I am of the opinion they need to restrict access to the tier VII and VIII ops, based on you having completed ALL operations with 5 star wins in tier VI ships, and thus showing you at least have some comprehension of what is needed. Unless your entire team brings ship of identical tier, you get outgunned. If that's true (and it sounds just like how WG would handle something like this), it's no wonder the operations are so much harder to win now. I've heard that WG's approach to tier scaling was dead simple: just look at the highest tier player ship and scale all the enemies to match him. If we're now doomed to lose half the time, WG needs to increase the XP and credit payouts accordingly. It also ruins the game economy for Co-op, which is based on the assumption that the players almost always win. It's too easy to get killed in the first few minutes (which sucks if you're in a Division, since you have to sit out the rest of the game until your division mate finishes). I've significantly cut back on operations play. So in many ops - let's start with Aegis - you can get focused and sunk right at the start and the only thing you can do to stop it is to run like hell and hope the bots pick a different target. Their scaling doesn't work those Tier 8 Japanese cruisers that appear in most ops are far more deadly with their HE spam than the lower-tier cruisers we saw in Tier 6 ops, so they can burn a player down pretty fast now. ![]() Bots always shot better in operations than they did in Co-op play, but the situation got much worse when they opened Ops to Tier 8 ships. ![]() Maybe it's a reaction to the bot gunnery becoming so lethal. What's with all the edge campers? I am tired of getting 1 star because everyone else is camping and trying not to take damage. ![]()
